Seven Mile Beach in the morning, a curry-goat sign on the West End road, the cliffs at Rick's, and the sunset everybody comes for. Ends with the lights on New Year's Eve.

The captain poles you under the old stone bridge at Lethe, bamboo overhead, water the colour of green tea. This is the slow one.

Sit still on the veranda at Rocklands with a little bottle of sugar water and they come to you. Forty-two seconds of that.

The royal palms on the drive, the equestrian centre, the beach with the lighthouse, and a glass of something cold at the Sugar Mill.

The view down to the sea, the garden walk with Chris, the dogs, and the food that made me drive an hour into the hills for lunch.
